Things to Note during Your Stay ~For Your Safe Hospital Stay~

Wristband

  • We require all patients to wear a wristband in order to prevent patient misidentification when giving injections or blood transfusions and provide safe inpatient treatment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Your Cash and Valuables

  • Please do not bring cash or valuables more than necessary. Please note that we assume no responsibility or liability for any loss of your money or valuable items.
  • To prevent theft, please use a "card swipe safety box" available in your room. Please note that it is your responsibility to take care of your own belongings.

Health Insurance Card and Patient ID Card

  • We check your health insurance card every month. Please show your health insurance card at the beginning of the month at the hospital admission and discharge counter located on the first floor.
  • Please show your health insurance card at the hospital admission and discharge counter located on the first floor if it has been renewed or if there are any changes.
  • We keep your patient ID card during your stay in our hospital and return it to you at the time of discharge.
  • If you wish to receive medical care in our hospital after being discharged, please show your patient ID card at the outpatient reception.

Restrictions on The Use of Mobile Phones

Using mobile phones in our hospital had been prohibited for the reason that it may cause malfunction of medical equipment. As the functionality of mobile phones and medical equipment has been improved, the developed medical equipment has become less sensitive to interference from mobile phones, please use your mobile phone under the following restrictions.

  • Radiology rooms

We would like to ask not only our patients, but also the visitors to our hospital to follow the rules and use your mobile phone within the designated areas not to disturb other patients. Thank you for your understanding. 

●Please use the common rooms located on each floor (2nd floor to 5th floor) or at the space near the front entrance. 
※PHS devices used by our hospital staff operate at low frequency and are harmless. 

●The pay phones are located in front of the staff station on  each floor (2nd floor to 5th floor) and in front of the pharmacy on the first floor. 

Incoming calls may be forwarded till 7:30pm except for an emergency.

No Smoking in Hospital Buildings

  • Please note that smoking is not allowed except for the designated area (located on the right side of the main entrance).

If you are using the hospital wear/pajamas provided by the hospital, they will be replaced twice a week.
※3 times per week for a fee during summer (July-August)

※Mattresses are sanitized and washed periodically as we provide fine medical services.

Food

  • Please refrain from eating anything other than "Hospital meals" for your treatment.

Laundry

  • If you wish to use our laundry services, please purchase "Laundry Tickets (50 JPY/ticket)" at the shop located on the first floor of the east building. Pick-up service is available upon request.
    ※Shop Opening Hours/8:00am-7:00pm (Hours may be subject to change)
  • Coin-operated washing machines are available on the fifth floor for 100yen/30mins. If necessary, you may exchange bills into coins at the cashier on the first floor.

Paper Diapers

  • If you require paper diapers while staying in the hospital, please use the paper diapers we provide (TENA made in Sweden). They cost 756yen-1,852 yen/bag.

TV

  • You may watch TV attached to your bed with a TV card. Please purchase TV card for 1,000 yen per card (tax included) from vending machines located on each floor.
  • Please be sure to use headphones when you watch TV.

  • Any unused credit of your TV card may be refunded at a fee adjustment machine located in front of the reception on the first floor.
  • Electrical Appliances

    • Since it is required to obtain the permission from the head of our hospital to use electrical appliances (electric blankets, electric foot warmers, etc.), please make a request at the staff station. Your request may be denied depending on the types of the appliances.

  • Visiting outside of the following hours is not permitted for the observation rooms of each ward and HCU.

  • The main entrance closes at 9:00pm. After 9pm, please come to the security room located on the first floor for emergency.
